Responsible gaming
No money changes hands at Emerald Fortune, but habits are real and time is real. This page explains how we try to keep play healthy — and where to get free, confidential help in Republic of Ireland if it stops feeling that way.

Our position, stated plainly
Emerald Fortune is a social casino. You play with virtual coins that cannot be bought, sold, exchanged or cashed out, and the site has no payment function of any kind. Nobody can lose money here. We think that makes for a better kind of fun, and we have no intention of adding a cashier later.
But we will not pretend the format is neutral. Slot games are designed to be compelling — the near-misses, the sounds, the rhythm of small wins are all deliberate craft. For most people that is simply entertaining. For some, free play warms up habits that become expensive somewhere else. We would rather say that out loud than sell you a fantasy.
Free play is not practice
This matters enough to state on its own: how you do here predicts nothing. Demonstration builds are demonstrations. A long winning run with our coins is not a skill, not a system, and not a signal about any real-money game anywhere. There is no strategy that turns a slot into an income, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling something.
Signs worth taking seriously
Even in a game with nothing at stake, some patterns are worth noticing:
- You keep playing long after you meant to stop, and the time surprises you.
- You find yourself thinking about the reels while you are supposed to be doing something else.
- A losing streak with worthless coins genuinely annoys or upsets you.
- You have started wondering where you could play the same game for real money.
- You are hiding how long you spend here from people close to you.
- Playing has become a way to manage stress, boredom or low mood rather than a pastime.
None of these means something is wrong with you. All of them are a reasonable reason to take a break, or to talk to one of the services listed below — none of which will judge you, and none of which will charge you.
Four habits that keep this fun
Put a clock on it
Decide how long you want to play before you start, and set an actual timer. Slot mechanics are built to blur time — an external alarm is worth more than willpower.
Let the daily bonus be the pace
5,000 coins a day is a natural rhythm. If running out of coins feels like a problem rather than a stopping point, that is useful information.
Never chase the score
There is nothing to win back here. If you feel the urge to recover a coin balance, that instinct is worth examining before it meets a site that does take money.
Keep it social, keep it visible
Play the way you would play any other casual game — in the open, and not as a secret.

Protecting people under 18
Our site is for adults only. We ask for age confirmation on arrival and again at registration, and we close accounts that we believe belong to minors. If children use your device, tools such as Google Family Link, Apple Screen Time, Microsoft Family Safety or router-level filtering will block sites of this kind entirely. Software such as Net Nanny and Qustodio does the same job with more granular controls.
If you believe a minor is using Emerald Fortune, please email [email protected] and we will act on it as a priority.
Taking a break, or leaving for good
There is no cooling-off machinery to negotiate here, because there is nothing to lock. Sign out and the site is a static page again. If you would like your account and its data removed permanently, email us from your registered address and we will delete it within 30 days — no questions, no retention offers, no “are you sure” email a week later.
You can also read our terms of use and privacy policy for the full detail on what we hold and how the account works.
